About this Project

So much news in Buffalo and Western New York is grossly under reported. Some important stories that happen here everyday are never told at all!

Vox Buffalo is a project from the WNY Media Network (WNYmedia) based closely on the successful model Spot.us has been establishing  in San Francisco, California.

We are an open source project, hoping to be early adapters and pioneers of “Community funded reporting.”  It’s a marketplace where independent reporters, community members and news organizations can come together and collaborate.

Through Voxbuffalo.com the public can commission journalists to do reporting on important and perhaps overlooked topics that affect our community. All content is made available through a Creative Commons license.
